1 Pigeon Valley

Pigeon valley is located between Göreme and Uçhisar. It takes its name from thousands of dovecotes carved into soft tuffs since ancient times. Although they can be found all over Cappadocia, they are especially plentiful in this valley. Pigeon Valley is a wonderful place where some of the cave houses are painted white to attract the birds. The valley is also famous for its beautiful landscapes.

2 Kaymakli Underground City

Kaymakli underground city is built under the hill known as the Citadel of Kaymakli and was opened to visitors in 1964. The people of Kaymakli (Enegup in Greek) village have constructed their houses around nearly one hundred tunnels of the underground city. The inhabitants of the region still use the most convenient places in the tunnels as cellars, storage areas and stables, which they access through their courtyards. The Kaymakli Underground City has low, narrow and sloping passages. While the underground city consists of 8 floors below ground, only 4 of them are open to the public today, in which the spaces are organized around ventilation shafts.

3 Ihlara Valley

Ihlara Valley is a magnificent canyon with a depth of approximately 100 meters and approximately 10 km. The length formed as a result of volcanic activity on Mount Hasan and erosion by the Melendiz River hundreds of thousands of years ago. One of the best side trips from Cappadocia. Ihlara Valley is not only a natural beauty, but also a BC. 4.-13. It is a rocky settlement that has been home to extreme monastic life between the centuries, with more than four thousand residences and a hundred hidden cave churches decorated with frescoes and houses surrounding the valley. When you go down to the valley, about 4 km. A walking track accompanied by the Melendiz Stream dividing the valley. The river is not deep, you can easily cross from one side to the other.

4 Belisirma

After hiking in the valley, you will have the opportunity to have lunch in the village of Belisirma on the Melendiz Stream in this valley.

5 Selime Monastery

Selime Monastery is an astonishing rock-cut structure and largest religious building in the Cappadocia region, with a cathedral-sized church carved directly into volcanic tuff. Inside, original frescoes can be found, although some have been damaged by the weather. There are also signs of early civilizations in the ancient region: Hittites, Persians, Romans, Early Christians, Byzantines, Seljuk Turks and Ottomans are some of the many inhabitants who settled here. The church is divided into 3 parts by two rock columns. There are also kitchens and stables, as well as monk living areas decorated with frescoes worn over time.
